ACT Productions
ACT Productions is a West End production development company attached to
Associated Capital Theatres.
Speed-the-Plow
is ACT Productions’ third co-production at the New Ambassadors Theatre this
year, following directly on from our co-production with the Gate Theatre Dublin
of John Hurt in Krapp’s Last Tape. Before that came the joint presentation by
ACT Productions and ATG of Lee Hall’s Spoonface Steinberg, starring Kathryn
Hunter, directed by Marcello Magni and Annie Castledine.
Our
co-production of the Donmar Warehouse’s The Real Thing by Tom Stoppard, directed
by David Leveaux and starring Stephen Dillane and Jennifer Ehle recently sold
out at The Albery Theatre, and opens on Broadway on 17 April.
Other
projects recently initiated and/or co-produced include Francesca Annis and Peter
Bowles in a Frank McGuinness version of Hedda Gabler with Plymouth Theatre
Royal; Hugh Whitemore’s Disposing of the Body with Hampstead Theatre;
Deconstructing Albert by Adam Long with Sheffield Crucible, Mark Goucher and
Criterion Productions; and Klaus Maria Brandauer in Speer at The Almeida.
ACT Productions has a range of projects in development including a number of
writers under commission, and an ongoing programme of new play development
workshops.
